Overview

You pull up and turn off the ignition. Put the kickstand down and look around. A few cars and bikes are parked outside. Some of the old gang made it here before you. Your boots crush the gravel as you head on up to the front door, and from inside you can hear the jukebox playing a classic tune that stops you in your tracks for just a moment.

The first time you ever laid eyes on her that song was playing. She was shooting pool in a red dress that was out of place in a joint like this, and at the same time couldn’t have been more perfect. She was lining up a tricky shot and must have sensed you staring. She glanced up and made the 9 ball in the corner while looking you right in the eye. And it was all over for you.

That was back when the MacKay was an honest-to-god roadhouse bar and grill, and every swinging D who walked through the door thought he was Patrick Swayze.

Over the years the gang went their separate ways. Studs Mackay, the owner, sold the place and went off to Hollywood to pursue his dream of being a stuntman.

And the Mackay sat boarded up for some time until some hotshot local picked it up and turned the place into a bed and breakfast of sorts. Well, no breakfast, per se, but 5 good beds and four baths.

Still got its old charm. The pool table’s still there. The jackalope and the stuffed squirrel remain on the wall. You’ll have to stock the bar yourself, but then the juke box and the the pinball machine are free now, so it all evens out in the wash.

The beds are comfortable, the Den's a great place to binge watch 80's movies. There's games everywhere.

Outside, there's a huge deck with lots of seating, and a stream that runs through the backyard to a private pond.

Gonna be fun getting the gang back together and reminiscing over some beer and barbecue. See you there.
