Welcome To Eagles Mere.

You've been driving for hours when at last you see the sign you've been looking for. Just a few more turns here. Up a hill here. You pull into the gravel driveway, put the car in park, turn off the ignition and take in the stillness.

A breeze blows through treetops. In the distance you hear children playing and splashing in the water. Somehow, it feels like you've arrived in another era.

You take what seems like your first peaceful, easy breath in a long, long time.

I love it here at Pineapple. It is a clean house that could be lived in with all the important amenities like cooking and clothes washing. It definitely gives you the mountain house experience with fireplace and mountain-view windows all across the living room. But there is so much more here. The town is quaint and friendly. What a great place.

Huckle Chuckle is nestled into the village of Eagles Mere. Right on the lake. We 6 adults were charmed by the rambling cabin itself and appreciated the thoughtfully stocked household, comfortable beds, and fun movie set-up. The high point of our stay though, literally and figuratively, was the deck, where we relaxed for hours and enjoyed an incredible view of the trees and the lake. We hated to leave, and we hope to return!

This place (The MacKay) is a total trip! The house itself is a great size for a large party, easily accommodated our party of 11 and had everything you would need. We had travelled down to visit the Eagles Mere Aeronautical Museum for an event and it was perfect for that. Eagles Mere is a lovely village and a short drive to Alton Towers. The village has some great eateries - we went to the Barn Tavern which was nice but our favourite was AC Little's Eatery which is at the Eagles Mere Inn - great food and nice staff.
